Nanjing University (NJU) was ranked 75th in 2009 with a score of 33.97. In that year, only 16.99 percent of postgraduate tutors were female, while 83.01 percent were male. The female ratio was only 0.98 percentage points higher than in 2005, when the university was ranked 67th in this respect.
NJU is a national key comprehensive university which was founded in 1902 as Sanjiang Normal School.
