In this age of technology, information is spreading more quickly on microblogs, weibo in Chinese, than through the traditional channels of newspaper and television. Microblogging has completely altered the way people communicate with and relate to each other, as well as the way they obtain information.

For celebrities however, microblogging is more like a very powerful tool to attract media and fans. By sharing their feelings, photos, schedules and even their daily lives with the public, the following ten superstars have attracted tens of millions of followers on China's two main microblogs, namely weibo.com and t.qq.com.
