 "Yeti" crab（雪人蟹）




This hairy funny-looking creature is often mistakenly regarded as the "furry lobster." Its real name is the "Yeti" crab or Kiwa hirsute. It is notable for the silky blond setae covering its claws. Although the crab looks a little freaky, it might be one of the more complex crustaceans people have ever encountered. Some scientists believe that it may "farm" certain types of bacteria on its hairy pincers, eating them as food or using them to detoxify dangerous minerals from the deep-sea waters it inhabits.
