Zhaozhou Bridge

Located in Zhaoxian County, Hebei Province, Zhaozhou Bridge, also known as Anji Bridge, is the oldest and best-preserved open-spandrel stone segmental arch bridge in the world. Built during the Daye reign (605-618) of the Sui Dynasty by famous architect Li Chun, the bridge has more than 1,400 years of history.

To date, it has survived at least 10 floods, 8 wars and numerous earthquakes, including the 7.6-magnitude Xingtai Earthquake in 1966.
