Trip Advisor, a famous travel website, recently listed the 25 most visited museums in the world in 2013 favored by travelers.

Most of the tourists hail from European countries and the United States. The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are now the only Chinese museum featured on the list -- and in fact also the only Asian museum to appear on there.

Each and every one of the featured museums stands at the top of its kind. Several of them display some of the world's greatest cultural relics; others are famous for their extraordinary artworks and masterpieces. Another few stand out because of their important historical locations.

Here follow the world's top 25 museums as ranked by Trip Advisor.
