Newer, less-traveled destinations in southern and Eastern Europe are starting to replace Western Europe's traditional tourist trail as new hotspots, according to a report by the European Travel Commission.

Historically popular destinations like the UK, Spain, and Germany are declining, whereas tourism in central Europe and the Balkans has made headway.

Where exactly are these new hot destinations and why are they so popular? The experiences of more than 800,000 travelers on the website minube may offer the answer.

  Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is not a large country but has had a rich and eventful history. It is the most traditionally popular destination on our list. As the country where modern beer was invented, the Czech Republic is famous for its delicious beer. With its iconic skyline, the capital city, Prague, has a mixture of regal history and raucous nightlife, which has made the city a world of inventiveness. The countryside sights such as Bohemian Paradise and the scenic vineyards of Moravia are also worth a visit.
