Located in Vicenza of Italy, the theater was built between 1580 and 1585 by famous architect Andrea Palladio. It features the classic Renaissance style. It was made of bricks, featuring wooden decorations in the arch theater. It is one of the oldest theaters in the world, as well as one of the three Renaissance theatres still in existence. It was listed as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto in 1994.
