Fan Bingbing, a famous Chinese mainland actress, has topped the China Celebrity List for two consecutive years. Her overall earnings over the past year were estimated at some 122 million yuan (US$19.6 million).

There were 15 newcomers this year, including nine from the Chinese Mainland, five from Taiwan and one from Hong Kong.

The listed was released by the Chinese edition of Forbes magazine on May 4. It is the 11th time Forbes has released such a list, quantifying the overall power and status of Chinese celebrities, based on both their income and exposure.

The Chinese movie industry has slowed after years of rapid development. Talent shows gained unprecedented popularity in 2013. Some shows like "Dad! Where are we going?" and "Chinese Idol" won unbelievable audience ratings and helped actors gain exposure.
