   Glore Psychiatric Museum




Located in St. Joseph, Missouri, it was built on the site of a former mental hospital. Known as the "State Lunatic Asylum No. 2," the museum is filled with an atmosphere of doom and gloom. Various kinds of surgical tools and treatment equipment still convey the miserable past treatments of mental issues. Visitors can learn more from the personal notes and fascinating artworks once created by former patients.
