As of 2019, there were 237 civil airports on the Chinese mainland, including four that were newly opened that year, including Beijing Daxing International Airport. Meanwhile, regular flight services were now running to 234 Chinese cities, according to the report.

Among them, 39 airports registered an annual passenger throughput of more than 10 million, which accounted for 83.3% of the passenger capacity of all domestic airports, down 0.3 percentage points from 2018, the CAAC data showed.
