Jointly published by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee, and the BOCOG, the first edition of the playbook outlining COVID-19 countermeasures for Beijing 2022 was unveiled on Oct. 25. The second edition was then published on Dec. 13.

According to the BOCOG, the measures outlined in the playbook were formulated in accordance with the latest COVID-19 scientific research, expert opinions, and the experience of other international competitions.

The playbook has specified that a closed-loop management system will be applied during participants' entire stay in China.
