"Endless Journey," a realistic drama based on a creative nonfiction story, is produced by Chen Sicheng and directed by Dai Mo. The film follows a group of former police officers on their yearslong pursuit of a murder suspect. Initially investigating a horrifying rape and murder case, they were imprisoned after a failed interrogation led to a suspect's death. Emerging as underdogs after their release, they reunite as vigilantes to hunt the remaining suspect, inspired by their team leader. The film portrays their dedication and perseverance as they uncover the truth.
Its authenticity has moved audiences to tears, inspiring people to make the right choices despite life's changes or adversity. Released at the year's end, "Endless Journey" has already grossed more than 550 million yuan. It marks another notable triumph for Chen this year as a producer, following the success of his summer mystery hit "Lost in the Stars," which stirred significant buzz and online debate, grossing an astounding 3.52 billion yuan.
