Tibet receives 5.27 mln tourists in 1st 10 months

By the end of October, Tibet had received 5.27 million tourists, up 154.4 percent year on year, with its tourism revenue of 4.44 billion yuan (0.54 billion U.S. dollars.) The number of foreign visitors had soared to 150,000, with an increase of 168.8 percent over the same period of 2008, bringing in foreign exchange earnings of 57.93 million U.S. dollars.
