8th Peach Blossom Festival to be held in E Tibet

The 8th Peach Blossom Festival is set to open in Nyingchi Prefecture, southeastern Tibet, on March 21, and will mark the start of travels to Tibet in spring.

With the theme of "appreciating snow in a new land and hiking in Spring in peach blossom parks," the two-day annual festival will open in Gengzhang Moinba Ethnic Township.

During the festival, a series of special activities will be held, such as a song and dance performance, tasting Tibet's unique food, a horse race and a bonfire party.

Meanwhile, tourists can also visit the various scenic spots in Nyingchi and go rafting. A photography contest will also be held from March 10 to 20.
