Air China to launch Athens service in May

Air China recently announced that it will launch a new international service to Athens, Greece on May 11, 2011.

This new service, from Beijing to Athens with stopover in Munich, will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft. There will be two flights a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and will depart from Beijing at 00:40, stop at Munich at 05:30, and arrive at Athens at 10:00 local time. Return flights will leave Athens at 11:30, stop at Munich at 12:55, and get to Beijing at 06:10 local time the following day. A one-way flight will take 13 hours and 25 minutes.

More and more Chinese citizens are going to Greece for vacations and sightseeing, and the new route is expected bring even more Chinese tourists to Greece.
