The winter Nadam Fair, which features snow sports on horseback, opened in East Ujimqin Banner, part of the Xilin Gol League in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Sunday, January 15, 2012. An opening ceremony highlighted by local ethnic performances kick-started the local carnival which boasts a full schedule of competitions including horse racing, archery, Mongolian wrestling and camel-sleigh racing.
