Ramoche Monastery is under restoration for the upcoming May Day holiday.

Ramoche Monastery, located in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, is a major temple of Tibetan Buddhism built in the seventh century, the same era when the Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple were constructed.

An important step of the restoration is to renovate the frescos.

During the restoration, painters of the Buddha images are busy renovating religious- themed frescos.
