Jietai Temple is a Buddhist temple at the foot of the Ma’an Mountain, Mentougou District, western Beijing. It was constructed in 622 during China’s Tang Dynasty, with a history of nearly 1,400 years. The ordination altar in the Temple is known as one of the three largest ordination altars in China, together with the altars in Zhaoqing Temple in Hangzhou (Zhejiang Province) and Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou (Fujian Province).
