Langzhong Ancient City is located in the northeast of Sichuan Province and on the upper and middle basins of Jialing River. In 1986, the city was named as a national historic and cultural city by China's State Council.

Langzhong covers an area of two square kilometers, and features ancient streets, alleys, courtyards, and many tourist attractions. Even now, the city retains architectural patterns from the Tang (618-907AD) and Song dynasties (960-1279).

Surrounded by mountains and the Jialing river, Langzhong Ancient City is considered to be a fairyland of tourist attractions to tourists the world over. There are many historic buildings in the city; such as Zhang Fei Temple, the Imperial Examination Hall of the Qing Dynasty, Zhongtian Tower, Baba Mosque and Fengshui Museum. [China.org.cn]
