Lanzhou locals say that if you haven't been to Zhongshan Bridge, then you haven't been to Lanzhou.  Zhongshan Bridge was built in 1907, using all imported materials from Germany. The German design was created as a collaboration between German and local officers, and it was the first permanent bridge to cross the Yellow River.
