Tomb of Yusuf Khass Hajib

Born in Balasaghun, the capital of the Karakhanid Empire in modern day Kyrgyzstan, Yusuf Khass Hajib was a famous Uyghur poet. His long poem Kutadgu Bilig features exquisite words and provides important materials for the study of Karakhanid dynasty. His tomb is located in Tiyu Road of Kashgar city, which is an important cultural relic in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
