PANAMA-WORLD HERITAGE-CASCO ANTIGUO

Local residents rest in the "Casco Antiguo" in Panama City, capital of Panama, Oct. 20, 2013. The "Casco Antiguo" or "Casco Viejo" is the historic district of Panama City, a zone rich in Spanish architectures from 17th century. The area was built following the destruction of the original Panama city in 1671 due to a pirate's attack. In 1997, the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO) declared it as a World Heritage. (Xinhua/Mauricio Valenzuela)
