Irtysh River is China's only river that ends in the Arctic Ocean. The river begins in the glaciers on the southwestern slopes of the Altay Mountains in the Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region and flows through Habahe county into China's neighbor, Kazakhstan. The river is 2,969 kilometers long, of which 546 kilometers is in China, covering a basin area of 57,000 square kilometers. [Photo: Ecns.cn]
