Ayding Lake, meaning Moonlight Lake in Uygur language, is located in the mountain-surrounded Turpan Basin in Xinjiang. It is the lowest lake in China with the depth of minus 154 meters. The lake is famous for its white and spotless salt crystals. The intoxicating beauty attracts large number of tourists every year.
