Li, 77, a retired worker of Huangjueping power station, passes the time at Transportation Teahouse every day, drinking tea and chatting with other tea drinkers. The teahouse is at the central street of Huangjueping and is rebuilt from the canteen of the transportation company. According to Chen Qingwei, the teahouse’s owner, that is also the origin of its name.

Li and other tea drinkers have been regular customers of the teahouse for more than 10 years. The teahouse has become an indispensable part of their daily life. Tea drinkers kill the time at the teahouse every day from the early morning till the closing time, drinking tea, playing chess, chatting, reading, and even napping.

The teahouse is not only a simple and rustic teahouse, but also a living fossil witnessing the local changes.
