2. Unique Landforms

Guizhou Province has some of the best tourism resources in China, or even in the world, earning it the name "Oriental Switzerland." More than 90 percent of the province is covered by mountains, of which two-thirds are karst landscape, featuring waterfalls, caves, and canyons.

The photo shows the inside of the karst cave in the Longgong (literarily means Dragon King's Palace) scenic spot, AnshunCity, southwest China's Guizhou Province. Longgong is the only karst cave scenic spot among the 176 five-A scenic spots in China, the country's highest ranking for tourist sites. [Photo: CRIENGLISH.com / Wang Wei]
