Xikai Church, the Tianjin Catholic Church, is located on Dushan Road in the city’s Heping District, near Lida International Department Store. The church complex contains both a smaller church and a cathedral that were built by French Catholics. The smaller church was constructed in about 1913, while the cathedral was built in 1917. The cathedral is a 45-meter-high Italianate building and is the largest church in Tianjin.[China.org.cn]
