Guangxi Yangshuo railway station was officially put into operation on January 24. Travelers can take high-speed trains directly to Yangshuo County, one of famous tourist attractions in Guilin City, southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Yangshou has launched a series of travel promotion events. People who take high-speed trains to Yangshuo are able to get discounts on local hotel accommodation and dining.

Located in Xingping town, the Yangshuo railway station is the biggest and a special one among the stations along the Guizhou-Guangxi high-speed railway. It can hold 1500 passengers and its platform is built on a viaduct.

Before high-speed railway linking Yangshuo and other places opens, tourists had to go to Guilin first and then take coach to Yangshuo. Now this transport pattern is changed. It is estimated that 5 million travelers will take high-speed trains to Yangshuo every year. The opening of the high-speed railway station is particularly beneficial to the West Street of Yangshuo, a popular site for international tourists.
