The Forbidden City,or the Palace Museum, was the Chinese imperial palace of 24 emperors from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty (1420 to 1912). It is located in the center of Beijing, China. The palace complex exemplifies traditional Chinese palatial architecture, and has been listed by UNESCO as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world.
