Halo in the clouds

A shape that resembles the halo of Buddha recently emerged from the thick clouds above Mount Gongga, the highest mountain in southwestern China’s Sichuan province. The optical phenomenon was caused by light from the sun or moon interacting with the tiny water droplets that make up clouds. (Photo / Chinanews.com)
