Jinshanling section of the Great Wall, located in Luanping County, Hebei Province, attracts numerous foreigners, hiking enthusiasts and photographers every year for its original appearance. The well-preserved section, while being a fine piece of architectural art itself, affords magnificent open views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. Once serving as a wonderful defense work with many densely-located watchtowers, the section was inscribed onto the list of World Cultural Heritages in 1987. [China.org.cn]
