Always thinking about an escape for a winter vacation, be close to white snow and be away from the crowed?
Here comes the choice.
Located at the Sino-Mongolian border, Arxan is a small city of Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia, with no more than 8,000 urban residents.
Arxan boasts the best-preserved volcanic landform in Asia, being referred to as "a geographic encyclopedia."
It has a long winter, which begins as early as October and ends as late as April.
July to September is its peak season. Local tourists make up a major part of the domestic market, and foreign visitors mainly come from Mongolia and Russia.
According to a list by China National Tourism Administration on February 16, Chaihe Scenic Spot in Arxan is expected to be one of the national 5A tourist attractions this year.
