112 Chinese tourists stranded because of heavy flooding in the southern Chitwan district of Nepal have been safely rescued.

The Chinese Embassy in Nepal launched an emergency plan after it was alerted about the stranded tourists. The Chinese tourists were trapped in Sauraha, a popular tourist destination.

Three days of incessant downpour led to flash floods and landslides. Floods have killed at least 80 people in Nepal.
