Hainan wins travel promotion innovation award

"Discover Hainan" tourism promotion campaign won the award for "Best International Travel Promotion Innovation" in China (Chengdu) Travel Hot List.
Hainan, the southernmost offshore island of China known for its tropical climate and alluring seas, is listed as one of the 10 best tourist destinations of the year on the Hot List announced in Southwest China.
To create a world-class island vacation tourist destination and draw more international tourists, Hainan's tourism commission has held "Discover Hainan" promotion campaigns in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu since 2016.
As it targeted foreigners living in China, officials from embassies and consulates as well as representatives of foreign-funded enterprises were invited to attend the events.
The visitors watched a documentary on tourism featuring Hainan's intangible culture heritages with great interest.
