The 2018 Hunan (Nanshan) Double Six Folk Song Festival will be hosted in Chengbu Miao autonomous county, in central China's Hunan province on the sixth day of the sixth month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar, which will fall on July 18 this year.

As one of the few Miao autonomous counties in China, Chengbu boasts picturesque scenery and rich cultural diversity in southwest Hunan. The Double Six Folk Song Festival has been a tradition in the county, attracting large crowds from surrounding areas to celebrate with beautiful ballads and colorful ethnic costume each year.

This year the festival will stage a spectacular art gala for the participants at the ethnic culture center of Chengbu on the night of July 18. Winners of the national folk song contest for ethnic groups will perform during the event.
