Sihai town, in northwestern Beijing's Yanqing district, is famous for producing pesticide-free chrysanthemum and chrysanthemum tea. The local government hosted a chrysanthemum-picking event to celebrate the harvest on Sept. 11 as the 400-acre chrysanthemum field entered its picking season. Villagers also held a chrysanthemum-picking contest and staged a performance in the field. The chrysanthemum plantation has provided benefits and increased income for local households.
