2nd China Leisure Conference to be held Sept. 21-22

The 2nd China (Beijing) Leisure Conference will be held on Sept. 21-22 in the capital's Pinggu district, the host for the upcoming 2020 World Leisure Conference.

With a theme of "Urban Culture and Leisure Industry Development," the high-profile meeting, a prelude to the 2020 World Leisure Conference, will gather Chinese and foreign officials, experts and entrepreneurs from international leisure organizations and the industry to focus on issues concerning leisure and its industry.

Wang Xiaodong, deputy head of Pinggu district government, said at a press conference yesterday that updated leisure trends and research findings in the industry will be released at the conference.

At the conference, Roger Coles, president of the World Leisure Organization will give a keynote speech defining how urban culture drives the leisure industry, while other speakers will explore world-famous leisure cities and the relationship between urban culture, sports leisure and travel leisure

There will also be a fringe event at the conference titled the 2018 International Leisure Industry Expo and Seminar of Development of China’s Leisure-Travel Industry. In addition, Pinggu Villagers’ Harvest Festival will also be held.
