Individualized travel service booms as the travel industry becomes more open in China.

Hu Nana, a post-1990 generation from Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, became an online tourist guide two years ago in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

The emerging service mode, allowing tourists to book guide online for individualized travel route, has helped Hu make twice as much as before when she worked as a traditional tourist guide.

Hu, who became a tourist guide in 2010, said she has more freedom to arrange her time and can provide more individualized service to guests who seek in-depth travel experiences in one place.

Benefiting from the new tourist guide working mode with the help of high technology, she has bought two apartments, raises a pet cat and lives a life she enjoys in Hangzhou, Hu said proudly.

Most visitors choosing online tourist guide are between 30 and 50 years old and they often travel with families and colleagues.
