The Tianyi Pavilion is located on the west side of Yuehu Lake in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. First built in 1561 in the Ming Dynasty, Tianyi Pavilion is the oldest library in Asia, and one of the three largest private libraries in the world. It has now become a museum that is home to a large collection of about 300,000 ancient books, among which are 80,000 rare texts. [China.org.cn]
