China's largest ice-themed park closed Sunday night as the weather has started to warm up in the country's northeasternmost province.

The 20th Ice and Snow World in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province, has stopped its operation due to the rising temperature, according to the park.

The highest temperature will rise to six degrees Celsius in Harbin in the coming week.

Built with 110,000 cubic meters of ice and 120,000 cubic meters of snow, the 600,000-square-meter winter wonderland has over 30 interactive rides and more than 2,000 ice and snow sculptures.

The park has attracted over one million tourists since it reopened on December 23, and more than 10 million visits have been made in total since its founding in 1999.
