Shenyang Trade Promotion Council will continue to promote the city's foreign trade this year by entering Shenyang's well-known, quality products in 56 overseas exhibitions held in countries along the Belt and Road, according to a press conference hosted by the Information Office of the Shenyang Municipal People's Government on Wednesday.

Most of the products to be showcased represent machining, building materials, robotics, farm produce and service trade, all of which are industries Shenyang has an advantage in.

"Shenyang has rich industrial resources with a big advantage in processing, but export is a weak link of the city," said Zhao Kai, head of the trade promotion council, adding that building materials, machinery and farm produce will be the council's three biggest emphases during the exhibitions.

Meanwhile, the trade council will interpret national support policies to the city’s enterprises so as to guide them to foray into markets along the Belt and Road, help them reach their potential, and enhance made-in-Shenyang products' overseas awareness and influence.

The city started to promote its well-known, quality products in countries along the Belt and Road in 2016 and has achieved fruitful results in the past three years.
