Hundreds of thousands of people are flocking to Wuhan as cherry blossoms cover this capital city in Hubei province this spring. For those who might get scared off by the crowds yet desire to enjoy the ephemeral pink and white blooms, they can resort to online 5G livestreaming.

For the first time ever, Wuhan University shared the splendid cherry blossoms growing inside the campus through a 4K livestreaming using 5G technology on Friday. Cameras scattered in the campus shot the cherry blossoms from various angles to make sure the audiences enjoy a 360 degree view of the blooms in the college, according to Wuhan Evening News.

China Mobile, one of China's biggest telecom operators, provided technology support to the one and half-hour livestreaming.

Wuhan topped the ranking of most popular Chinese cities visited by people during the cherry blossoms season for the fifth consecutive year, according to online travel services provider Ctrip. Over 3000 thousands people flocked to Wuhan to enjoy the stunning pink and white scenery on Saturday. Besides Wuhan University, the East Lake cherry blossom park and Tijiao park are also among the most popular destinations.
