Authoritative publications to discover the new trend of cultural tourism


Yang Honghao, associate research fellow at the Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and director of the Industrial Institute of the China Tourism Academy, announced the publication of a report on proprietors' perspective. This report aims to promote the sustainable and healthy development of the industry, upgrade service and management systems, and give a voice to hotel investors and hotel owners. It also hopes to optimize the management of international and domestic hotel companies, and promote positive cooperative relationships, thereby increasing the return on investment for owners.

On behalf of the research team, Feng Jianqi, vice president of the Ctrip Hotel University, announced the publication of a research report on the hotels of the Chinese cultural tourism industry. With data from the United Nations Development Program and the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Ctrip Hotels University, Asia Pacific Hotels Association and Entrip developed the report, analyzing the status quo and development trends of China's hotel and tourism industry, providing a solid and reliable theoretical foundation for the future development of cultural tourism.

New SDG fund reshaping investment structure


As the window to China's tourism and cultural industry, the 19th CTGF fulfilled its mission to promote the development of China's cultural tourism industry, witnessing the signing of the SDG Cultural and Impact Tourism Fund. The fund, worth US$10 billion was the United Nations' first fund promoting the sustainable development of cultural tourism.


Key fund sponsors officially announced the launch of the fund. Attendees included Lu Yong, CPC Leading Party Members' Group of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and vice president of ACFIC; Zhou Jun, vice mayor of Sanya; Wan Yang, assistant country director of the United Nations Development Program China; Fu Longcheng, vice president of the China General Chamber of Commerce; Yang Honghao, associate research fellow of the Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and director of the Industrial Institute of the China Tourism Academy; Zhao Zhengting, secretary general of the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce; Xian Feng, CEO of China Commercial Group; Qian Jiannong, chairman and CEO of Fosun Tourism Group; Zhang Jianming, chairman of Minyoun Industrial Group; and Xing Yiwei, senior vice president of CITIC Capital Management Co., Ltd. It is reported that the fund will be first invested in high-quality cultural tourism projects, hotel complex projects and beautiful rural projects in Sanya. The hotel investors association of China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce is responsible for partnerships with operators, and the fund will be invested when appropriate, thereby promoting the development of the Hainan International Tourism Island and the beautiful countryside of Sanya.

Furthermore, the 2019 China Hotel Supply-side Industry Chain Fair (Spring) attracted thousands of purchasers. A series of "matching sessions" at the fair facilitated cooperation between investors and operators, producers and distributors as well as talent and enterprises.
