Construction of 64 plant buildings, designed to accommodate small and micro enterprises that is involved in halal food and Muslim products, gets underway this month at Lide Industrial Zone of Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Lide is a charity industrial zone established mainly for the disabled on the basis of the existing Jinji Industrial Zone, which was named as a "National Model Base for Industrialized Halal Food" by the National Ministry of Industry and Information in 2010.

Four halal food manufacturers have contracted to start business in the industrial zone, with total investment of 1.21 billion yuan (US$192 million).
