The construction of a Yinchuan park, featuring the Western Xia culture and natural scenery, started on April 28, worth a total investment of 220 million yuan (US$34.91 million).

Following the eight dominant tribes in the Western Xia, eight fortress manors will be constructed to exhibit the architecture, characters, paintings, sculptures, seals, coins and folk customs of the period. Meanwhile, the park will be located in the middle of a scenic spot featuring science education, themed experience, leisure and sport activities as well as ecological planting.

The construction of the park is expected to be completed in May, 2013 and the park shall consequently open up to the public.
