The service industry, including trade, catering, finance, logistics, tourism and real estate, has brought about a prosperous economy in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and has greatly benefited the general public over the past few years.

The region’s added value of service industry reached 86.192 billion yuan (US$ 13.9 billion) in 2011, 1.46 times of the figure in 2007. The service industry has gradually become the new engine behind a modern Ningxia economy.
