On April 10, a seminar on the development of the Ningxia Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone took place in Yinchuan city. Professor Lin Guijun, vice president of the University of International Business and Economics and a PhD supervisor, was invited to give a lecture on the the status quo of China-Arab States economic and trade relations, and the development of the Ningxia Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone”.

Professor Lin is a heavyweight in the field of international trade, foreign exchange policy and welfare economics. In his lecture, he presented a thorough analysis of the status quo and development trend of China-Arab trade, and offered detailed advice on the development of the Zone.

In his view, the goal of setting up the zone is to eliminate institutional obstacles to divert resources such as human resources, capital and technology, to the zone. Ningxia should encourage free flow of talents, goods, capital and information in order to promote investment and service industry.

Since last year, the government of Ningxia Autonomous Region has held a series of seminars and invited experts and scholars to share their views on the development of inland opening-up pilot zone.
