Discover China in Ningxia, Shapotou on Discovery Channel

On April 14, the film crew of Discover China, a Discovery-branded program, arrived at Shapotou, a tourist attraction in Ningxia, for six days of filming.

Discover China is a 13-episode TV documentary made by Central Studio of News Reels Production and Orient Miracle International Culture & Media (Beijing) Co. Ltd. This documentary is not just a portrait of the local culture, landscape and travel resources, but also showcases distinctive local features.

Commenting on Shapotou’s many delights and wonders, Keith, the host of Discover China, said: “Shapotou is the most fabulous tourist attraction that I have ever been, and it boasts the world’s most abundant travel resources.”

Keith is well known to the world’s adventurers and travelers, and is also a rugby star in America. The photographer Aaron Kopp was also the cameraman for Saving Face, which won the 2012 Oscar for Best Documentary Short. He was also the cameraman for Invisible War, which won the 2012 Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival.

The documentary is scheduled to broadcast on CCTV, the Discovery Channel and National Geographic Channel from October 2013 to January 2014.
