On April 21, the growths commune forum was held in Yinchuan, co-sponsored by the Forestry Bureau of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Development Bureau of Grapes and Flowers Industry in Ningxia and the Wine Branch of China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuff and Native Produce. The aim of the forum is to learn from the management mechanism of the Bordeaux growths commune and to improve the wine quality of eastern Helan Mountain.
The growths commune derives from the Bordeaux wine official classification of 1855 which many countries including China adopts.
During the forum, Wang Xuwei, general secretary of the Wine Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuff and Native Produce, introduced the status of China’s wine on the international market. Alan Sichel, representative of Le Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB) and chairman of the Bordeaux Wine-merchant Association, delivered a speech regarding the goals of the CIVB. Thomas Julian, CEO of the CIVB (Asia Pacific), delivered a speech on Bordeaux’s marketing strategies in China. Li Demei, member of the Wine Expert Committee of China and professor at China Agricultural University, delivered a speech on Bordeaux experiences applied in China.
