On April 23, the State Council Office of Poverty Alleviation and the government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region signed the “Cooperation Agreement on Supporting the Development of Ningxia Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone and Speeding up Poverty Alleviation Progress in Ningxia.”

Li Jianhua, Party secretary of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Liu Hui, chairman of the region, held talks with Fan Xiaojian, deputy supervisor of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development and director of the Office of Poverty alleviation.

Li Jianhua said the poverty alleviation cause in Ningxia has achieved remarkable progress. The Ningxia Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone is a great opportunity for Ningxia to explore new poverty alleviation mechanisms and enhance support for industries in poor regions. Li hopes that the Office of Poverty Alleviation could pay more attention to Ningxia and continue to provide support and guidance.

Fan Xiaojian said the State Council Office of Poverty Alleviation will provide as much support as possible to Ningxia in terms of capital, policies and projects. Fan believes that the poverty alleviation cause in Ningxia will make greater achievement.
